Home Memories is a series of still images captured five years ago as my family home was being emptied. These photographs were taken with extended exposure times, creating a slow-motion effect through moving image capture technology. This technique allowed the images to transcend the limitations of a single still frame, providing space for subtitles that convey the fleeting, rapid memories that flooded my mind in the fraction of a second the camera shutter remained open.
The Home Memories project was developed in September 2013 as part of the Milkfloat initiative. Milkfloat is dedicated to connecting audiences with art, both within traditional gallery settings and beyond, by transforming a caravan into a versatile studio, exhibition, meeting, or living space.
Milkfloat residency and exhibition were proudly supported by Arts Council Wales and g39 art gallery.
